Subject: pulse nominate

Rough as a cob. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Sitting on the fence. A snail's pace. Shiver me timber. Sweet as honey. Spaceship earth. Turn over a new leaf. A snail's pace. Water doesn't run uphill. Put to bed with a shovel. A stepping stone to. Useless as tits on bull. Waking up with the chickens. Sweet as honey. Rare as walking on water. Spaceship earth. As uneasy as a cat near water. Save it for a rainy day. She's a nut. Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness. The stronger the breeze the stronger the trees. Still waters run deep. We'll hand you out to dry. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day. To live from hand to mouth. Sow dry and set wet. Put off the scent. Water under the bridge. Sweet as honey. Your barking up the wrong tree.

cob season

walking with the chickens,
dry as earth, sweet as
mist in fence-timber trees.
the rare scent of a rainy day on the breeze.

And me with uneasy hand,
pulse a rare shiver, a set
and useless mouth.

(back to doctors w/o borders for awhile...)
